Saurav Ganguly retires from all forms of cricket

Sourav Ganguly, the most successful player to captain the Indian cricket team, announced he would be retiring from all forms of cricket.

After being dropped by the Kolkata Knight Riders and snubbed by the Indian Premier League in its fourth season, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly has decided to retire from all forms of cricket.

He had announced his retirement from international cricket after the Test series against Australia in November 2008. He, however, continued playing in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders in the first three seasons.
