Sreesanth is an Indian cricketer. He is primarily a right arm fast medium pace bowler.

Sreesanth was born on 6th February, 1983 in Kothamangalam, Kerala state in India.

His full name is "Shanthakumaran Sreesanth". His nicknames are Sree and Gopu. He is known to bowl at speeds 142 kmph.

He was a leg spinner in his childhood. He was inspired by Anil Kumble. Later he turned as a face bowler. He plays domestic cricket for Kerala.

His brother-in-law Madhu Balakrishnan is a famous singer.

Sreesanth highness is 5.8ft. He is a first Kerala Ranji player to play Twenty20 cricket for India.

Sreesanth was a break-dancer and had become a national champion in break dance event.

Sreesanth made his One Day International debut against Sri Lanka at Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Nagpur on 25th October, 2005.

He impressed in the ODI series against New Zealand in 2010, taking seven wickets in two matches.

He made his test premiere against England England at Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Nagpur - Mar 01, 2006.

On Dec 01, 2006he played his first T20 International match against South Africa at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

Sreesanth is associated with the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League 2008 - 2010.

Within a very short span of time, Sreesanth has firmly established himself as one of the main weapons in India's pace armory.

He can be expensive in one-dayers, but is also a wicket-taking bowler.

He called up as a replacement player for Praveen Kumar for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
