India need 275 runs to win the World Cup

Sri Lanka scored 274/6 in the final match of the Cricket Wold Cup at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

This is a decent performance by Mahela Jayawardena who scores his 14th ODI century and 2nd in the tournment. He has played innings of a lifetime. This has been an oustanding finish by the Lankans. Sri Lanka have used this batting power play beautifully. Almost 90 runs in last 10 overs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. India started well, bowled in the right areas and restricted the run flow. Though, Sri Lanka came back brilliantly with Jayawardena's century. They will believe that it is a defendable total with the pitch getting slower.

The top performers of the innings are Mahela Jayawardena for his century and Yuvraj Singh India's best bowler for his figures of 2/49.
