World Cup 2019, England won toss and opt bat against India

Today's match between India and England crucial for both teams. While the unbeaten India look to continue their unbeaten streak, England are playing for survival. England has to win this match to stay in the semi-final race in the ICC World Cup 2019. England are currently out of the top-four bracket on the points table, sitting at No. 5. India are just one point away from securing a place in the semi finals .

India's clash with England will be significant for other semi-final contenders as well and they will be watching it closely, especially Pakistan. The match's result will play a huge role in deciding who the fourth semi-finalist will be. Four teams including England, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are fighting hard for the fourth spot. Australia has already qualified, India and New Zealand are also likely to take up the other two semi-final spots.
