Bangladesh openning batsman Tamim Iqbal, who took an amazing catch to turn around a thrilling World Cup match with Ireland, was taken to hospital on Saturday for a precautionary scan after injuring himself in making it.
The diving, low catch, which will live long in the memories of the packed Dhaka crowd who witnessed it, removed danger man Niall O'Brien and helped Bangladesh on their way to a 27-run win in Group B on Friday.
He was named man of the match for the catch and his earlier quickfire 44 from 43 balls in Bangladesh's 205 all out.
Tamim had surgery on his left hand last September which forced him to miss the home series against New Zealand the following month.
Bangladesh will face West Indies in their third Group B match on 4th March at Dhaka.
